Sounds like a scene in Everybody Loves Raymond.

Personally… anyone who would attempt to use the fact that a relative is in law enforcement to try to get out of a ticket should have it doubled.

Good thing she got the ticket – just because you know someone who is within law enforcement doesn´t mean you should get away with breaking the law. Quite the opposite – you should do almost more than the usual to avoid it.

Ashburn Stadium – Ahh, how I miss the days of Frank Rizzo when corruption wasn’t a perception.

Wouldn’t it be easier to simply obey traffic laws …?

. . . you can say what you like, but it happens to be a fact of life that police officers do extend “professional courtesy” to relatives of police officers . . . Mom was just unfortunate in bumping into one of the 15 or so who don’t . . .

In a city like Philadelphia, there are probably so many police, I highly doubt everyone knows everyone else on the force!! Dot must think she is in Mayberry :)

I have followed this comic for years, and I love it because it deals with everyday problems that all people, regardless of race, deal with. AshburnStadium should not have played the race card here because we all know that Dot is a lunatic driver. Even her own family are scared stiff to get into the car with her. That is the first thing I thought of when the cop pulled her over. To suggest anything else just continues making racism the reason for everything that goes wrong. Grow up!

Selma Texas? Got in trouble with both the Federal and the Texas state governments. They’re income from speeding fines collected from out of state drivers was equal to the entire Texas State tax income. Small town approximated 150 people split by I-35.

I was pulled over two weeks ago and after he wrote a warning ticket for speeding, I told him to say hi to my nephew, a fellow county cop.

Dot’s such a terrible driver, it’s good that the officer gave her a ticket, even if he knew who she was.
