All the doom and gloom about Greece is so much smoke – what the World Bank and the IMF are afraid of is that, when Greece abandons the euro, they will, like Argentina, refashion their economy with little or no debt and do just fine, thank you very much, which might show Spain, Italy and Portugal how they can do it too. And that is not to be tolerated by the international banking/financial establishment.
political leaders wanted greece in the euro. had goldman sachs cook the books. and borrowed, cut taxes, raised spending (olympics), cook their books with wall streets help every year and now it will potentially destroy the eurozone.
