Started watching the series The Mountain Men. One of you folks recommended it a while back, and we set our DVR to record the episodes. Quite a good show, really. Lots of back woods happenings, and two areas that we are familiar with. We prefer to be off the beaten path, but these folks are a little more isolated than we are. Thanks to whomever recommended the show. It’s a keeper!

Sunday Aug. 18 at 11.45 p.m. I received my new Abyssinian kitten! My previous cat, Sinduri (also an Abyssinian), had died last October. She was flown in from Texas. I think I’ll call her Shilo. She was born about 10 weeks ago.
