He was doing a farewell tour of “Fiddler” on stage at last report; however, he’s had his problems over the years (got to be a bit of a diva after the film came out in 1971). In an ironic twist, he played Tevye on stage with his wife Golde being played by the actress who had played his daughter Tzeitel in the film.
