What Sphinx Wormwood says is true. However, we now use the term “underground railroad” to talk about the trafficking of illegals from Mexico to Texas and other border states.
Amazing how we can usurp a term that meant freedom to men and women who were in bondage. We have changed the meaning to the smuggling of illegal immigrants into this country. Cheapens it as far as I’m concerned.
