I used to work in a penitentiary…when the caller would ask how Iwas doing, I’d say “Fine, now that I’m no longer in prison”….all of a sudden, they didn’t want to talk to me anymore….
I once had a cat who used to make heavy breathing sounds instead when people would talk to him. We had a telemarketing call, so I turned on the speaker phone and let the fun play out. Every time the marketer spoke, the cat would breathe deeply into the speaker. Finally, the cat got bored and said “Meow!” I wish I could have seen the look on the marketer’s face trying to figure out who he was talking to!
About a year ago a trial ended where a woman blew a referee’s whistle into the phone, causing the telemarketer permanent hearing damage. Cost her a ton o’ cash.
