Thank God most writers are bad at Scrabble.

Growing up in the same environment, how did Gracie get so much more savvy than Baldo?

My mother is good at Scrabble. I’m not. She knows exactly what 2-letter words are allowed (she even knows which ones are in which computer word games, and which are not), though many of them she can’t define. I like to scramble words, but I really can’t be bothered to do all that. I can see Gracie being the type who remembers these crazy, scrabble-only words and loves doing better than Baldo.

I bet that Gracie has read the Dictionary – from cover to cover!
