Not a problem. Reid is the original ball-less wonder. He’ll have no more problem caving in to a Republican president than he’s had caving in to Republican senators.
The number of Republicans who say that they can “cross the aisle” and work with Democrats are legion. That is what has put us where we are—-compromising with evil, to make government the state, rather than the people. We’ve been down this road for decades, with Republicans joining with Democrats to destroy the union, to fraction and Balkanize us, and to create whole communities who are helpless waifs, dependent upon the collectivist state. And, if anyone says that we ought to turn around and head towards another direction, the Democrats throw the worst labels that the uniformed partisans will latch onto, and parrot. We are just a few years behind Europe, and we OUGHT to know where THEY are headed. It’s time to wake up and the this ship turned around.
By “half” I presume you mean “20%” because only 20% of the US Population identifies themselves as liberal or democrat. But w/e. No, his point is the politicians are evil for their destruction of our fundamental constutional rights and responsibilities, and the limiting of the federal government.

Per an old Non Sequitur cartoon, there’s a rifle in that sleeve.

it is likely that the usa will continue to elect a divided government.
if a republican is elected president, i hope the democratic congress does to him more than what the republicans have done to obama.
because a government that governs least, governs best.

I know, right? Only the republicans can act like that.
