This is a great comic…..if only there were more people like Claire and her friend who would take in strays rather than buy expensive breeds! and give the homeless cats and dogs a chance…….
There are even shelters that specilize in certain breeds (that had become overly popular, then not. I even got my current bird (a Timneh African Grey) from a bird shelter. My long time companion umbrella cockatoo was adopted from a young couple who were neglecting her and did not understand her care (birds are more difficult).

My two are?? (Momma was a lady, Daddy was a man-about-town) Both came from the shelter. Couldn’t ASK for more love than those two give us!

Over the years, we have had many adopted “children”, each with a special personality—dogs AND cats. I love them all!
