Our old furnace was shooting out carbon monoxide. So far I haven’t had to resort to that for stuff to keep me awake.

If I can’t sleep, neither will you. That’s where I thought it was going. Didn’t expect Sarah to use worries to get to sleep. If its winter and you can’t sleep…. turn the furnace off and open the windows ‘cause you’re too warm! (Our first house when I was a kid didn’t have any insulation)

This comic comes courtesy of my wife, who goes to bed and lies there thinking of everything in the world that pretty much guarantees that she won’t be able to drop off. Then she asks me how I can just put my head down and be out like a light. “I don’t THINK when it’s time NOT TO” is my answer, said in a soft, understanding tone, and punctuated with something like “Sweetie” or “Honey” or one of those endearments. Then I’m asleep again while she makes lists of things to keep her up.
