Reminds me of my dogs – the only commands they obeyed were “ignore me.” Which is one of those wonderful “Everything I say is a lie” paradoxes.
Despite those huge ears, bassets are kings of “selective hearing”!
Sounds like my beagle and poodle. Only thing is poodle is so old and cant hear ,but beag hears and still dont listen
My dog sometimes squats down into an almost-sit with her butt hovering above but not touching the floor, so it’ll be easy to spring at the treat when it comes. Then she gives me this sneaky “I hope you don’t notice what I’m doing” look.
