If it’s “Bush’s timeline”, which in a way it is, why are all the Republicans now complaining about it, and claiming Sharia will be in Seattle by next September?
My kid came home after several tours, retired disabled. Other friends did not come home. Interesting that even the “right wing” military (and they do remain basically “conservative”) regard Obama as keeping the promise, worthy of their respect, and “W” as an idiot tool.
OMG…Benson has totally lost it! He’s officially entered LA-LA-Land. He must think that men and women of the military are as willing to bend over, grab the ankles, and take the feudal/’leftist boner up their backsides as HE is.
Oh my. How freely for profile and stereotype those with diffent opinions from you. “reslugs” – are they reloaded shells? Do you actually know how to do that?
@loco: what do you mean you haven’t heard any repubs knocking Obama’s bringing the troops home. It’s been all over the news—Lindsay Graham, John McCain, one after the other. You repubs are reallly consistent—make Obama fail no matter what. Even if it hurts everyone on the whole planet. Even if you gotta lie outrageously to do it. If Obama walked on water you guys would say it’s because he probably can’t swim very well.
@johann…: You are probably right. those soldiers coming home from Iraq are probaly very disappointed in being brought home. And you think Mr. Benson has lost it?
I left ‘Nam in late ’67, knowing we couldn’t “win” a military victory, and should start pulling out “while we were ahead”, but that it couldn’t be accomplished overnight. Taking an additional seven and a half years, was absurd. Obama had an existing “contract”, called a “treaty” to honor by the end of this year. I’d like to have seen us out four hours after he took office, but that again was like ’Nam, even getting out of a foreign occupation we never should have started, does take some time. Now about protecting our corporate interests, not our national interests, we shall see what happens.

Do you have a problem with that? Do you claim they don’t deserve medical care?

All of you cons (fools) that think we should keep troops in Iraq, sign up for the Iraqi army.
