The “flat earth” of business IS about multi-national corporations shafting everyone while they take the gold from the mine. Capitalism is a fine method, as long as it’s regulated and doesn’t become plutocracy, and THAT is where we have gone. It is time for change, reasonable behaviors, and restraint. It IS the wealthy who’ve ignored the sound from the streets, for decades. Remember folks, flawed as it was, the monarchy in France was replaced with a Republic. We need a true one here at home.
the lesson of Henry Ford – the people who make the stuff need to be able to afford the stuff.
we have never had multi-nationals own our government before. i’m not sure if there is a name for it. not quite a plutocracy as that would be like andrew carnegie and jj rockefeller owning the government, which we passed laws about (monopoly).
this problem is far more insidious. the government doesn’t represent coalitions of people, it now represents foreign corps.
