More likely if you go downhill on skates.

You know, if you make a sonic boom, you won’t hear it, because you’re going faster than the sound.

You got go a lot faster to make warp speed.

Trying to break the sound barrier this way is not easy and its no fun.

I love the sound effects as Calvin & Hobbes are running along:.“Pit, Pat, Pit, Pat …”“Pittida, Dittida, Pittida, Dittida …”“Chooga, Chooga …”.Priceless.

the other thing i love about this strip is the very beginning, where Calvin is counting to “go.” doesn’t every kid do the “one, two, two-and-a-half” bit at some point? just a great touch.

If he wanted a sonic boom, he should have run downhill!

Doesn’t Calvin know sound travels around 346 m/sec at 25º? Humans run at most 2.5 m/sec. Tigers couldn’t run faster than sound, either.
