The more I read of today’s situations as to national debt, the ACLU and what the Congress is trying to do I can not help but wonder what happened to our democracy. It has been hi-jacked by a vocal minority who are imposing their will on the majority. When will the average American wake up and realize he or she is being hornswoggled by interests that have only the total destruction of our Country in mind.

I’ve heard of China (and Russia) creating little country themed neighbourhoods in their new developments so it wouldn’t surprise me if China offered to purchase the real statue of liberty to re-create a mini new New York (I wonder, how about a new York, too? Or was it new Amsterdam?).

^ @ sonny1: The ACLU hijacking your country? :-| Bizarre. If you hadn’t included the ACLU I would have thought you were talking about your Tea-party but now I’m not so sure…Over here we have a similar organisation called Liberty which is often maligned by those who misunderstand their country’s constituition.

Is the % of the US debt owed to China actually disproportionate, or is it just hated because it’s owed to China?
