Lisa has obviously never seen, or investigated the mining of tar sands, and refining them. The “jobs” issue is a big “load” all right, more propaganda from “big oil”.
Clark just listed the most useless projects imaginable, and all to be done with money courtesy of the IRS and Bernanke’s printing press and China. Oh, I forgot digging holes in the ground and filling them right back up, but BHO will surely think of it before long.
The only idea you are throwing out here that makes any sense is the HVDC underground grid. That actually makes a lot of sense. But… the first ones? The infrastructure is not “Crumbling,” and the wind and solar plants are unreliable, at best. They also are not nearly as efficient as current alternatives. I do agree something needs to be done, but that’s not the solution. We’d be better off investing in research into making fusion a real alternative.
Mr. Carville, a resident of New Orleans who has known to be a bit caustic. was perhaps a mite impatient. In the final analysis, cooler heads prevailed and a complex problem was handled rather well.

Interesting that Canuck is so against the US drilling and using all of it’s natural resources, when that’s exactly what his own country does….
