An out of work ice cream salesman figured out the Whammy light sequence and won over $100,000 in the early 80’s. BIG money back then, they developed a random sequencer after that.
I am sure that somebody will remember this show and that the guy lost all of his winnings, his wife left him and he got into trouble with the law. He was not heard from again until Guy & Rodd dug him up today.
Although it raises a question: This guy was the only one to figure out the pattern, so we know what HE was concentrating on as the lights flashed. What was everybody ELSE thinking?
