BUT-- If I go IN, my old food will get eaten by other cats--- I don't WANT it--- But I DON'T want ANY-BODY ELSE to have it either-- I COULD go in, and THEN immediately scratch at the door to go out-- OR-- I could STAY here-- Then sharpen my claws on the screen door-- THEN--- Where did that pointy-haired girl go?

My wife’s cats have learned that a mere brandishing of claws won’t stop them from getting scooped up — and the actual use of said claws will only get them the cheap, dry cat food because the humans don’t want sharp can lids near freshly applied band-aids.
