Knute enters and says to Luann, "Whoa! Luann, what're you doin' here?" Luann replies, "I'm the new cashier. What are you doing here, Knute?" Knute replies, "Check it out." Luann says, "A lifeguard?! You?!" Knute says to Luann, "Hey, I'm not always a total space case, y' know. When I put on this whistle, I am focused, man. I am in the zone." Knute asks Luann, "So what're you doin' here? Oh wait, did I already ask that?" Luann says to Knute, "I think you need to put your whistle on."

Why didn’t Luann apply for lifeguard? She’s CPR certified, and she could be outside all day instead of stuck behind a counter.
