This is exactly what they DO want for the Grand Canyon- uranium mining increased.(There already was one mine on the rim of the canyon.) However, give ’em a couple more years of pushing for minerals and oil, and this will be Denali.
Funny story. This attempt to commercialize and destroy the natural beauty of the Grand Canyon has been going on for decades. At one point, an attempt was made to have a dam placed in the canyon (http://goo.gl/CXNwJ). Anyone who’s been to the canyon knows what a crime that would be.
AEI, Norquist, and the folks have indeed written the plan to remove ALL controls on the destruction of not just OUR resources for profit (theirs), but the whole world’s. Their “budget ideas” make the ’toon understatement- again posterity is just their victim.
That’s where gay marriage and abortion come into play! Those people view big cities as Sodom and Gomorrah! (remember “real ’murica”). Use their fear, encourage them to home school their kids so the second generation grows up in the same fear from the outside World and they’ll let Big Oil turn their drinking water into toxic sludge if conservatives tell them it’s either that or being exposed to the “sodomite abortionists”, lol!
