It’s always the parents who worry about that stuff. Kids don’t worry about it at all.

What’s this “newspaper” you speak of?

Kids still deliver newspapers? Around here (suburbs), it’s always done by an adult with a car. When I was a kid, there were kids on bikes who delivered papers, but not since the 80s. Too many weirdos out there I guess. Or, fewer people getting the paper so routes got too big for anyone without gasoline powered wheels.

I don’t miss a newspaper. I get all the news on line and more comics than I ever did when I bought a paper every day.

Geez…our son had a paper route in our kinda rural area. He rode his bicycle, which could only hold a certain number of papers, and we had to follow him in the car with the “refill” papers. Guess it was good character-building, though…

In my day you had to fold them yourself and walk the route, go up to the house and put them between the screen and front door. Now it’s always an adult in a car throwing them in your general direction

I had my own routeat 13. Rode my bike, placed the papers under doormats, in boxes, or inside screen doors. Only one house with scary dogs, my papers were never wet, and I received more money and treats on Christmas from the customers than under the tree.

We moved the next Feb. I would have kept that till I was 18.
