    Philosophy, yet….

The best we can do is “cogito, ergo cogito”, which is a slight twist on Rene Descartes’ “cogito, ergo sum”.

Descartes said (Latin was kind of popular back then): “I think, therefore I am”, as a proof of his existence. However, the best we can really do is “I think, therefore I think”….

‘Course, you could say that cognition (thinking) implies existence, but there’s not a lot of proof there.

That said, the snowman probably can be comforted by the presumption that if he is thinking, it’s likely that he’s existing.

Now, to presume that he doesn’t need a face may be another quandary, but he probably does need a brain, which may live in his head. The real problem is in interacting with the outside world. When the smoke clears, that may be the best test of existence on any particular plane. If you can’t communicate, you probably don’t need to be there anyway.
