I once gave this speech in high school, well it was little more eloquent but I pointed out the unconstitutionality of making us swear by God to ally ourselves with a nation we did not choose, could not leave, and did not know sufficiently or have legal right of choice yet… from then on everyone else in my classes changed the pledge for comic effect and a few teachers gave up all together.
