Whenever Red is in need of cheer, his trusty pal Rover will always be near. Be it troublesome schooldays or everyday strife, no matter, for Rover is his friend for life.

Your comic relationship Red and Rover reminds me of the constant love of me and my pet pitbull

I figure Brian is either on vacation or going through yet another bout of writers block.

Brought tears to my eyes. I just lost my beloved Australian Cattle Dog at the age of 16. Hardest thing in the world to have to say goodbye to him. Now I’m so lonely and live alone. “No greater love does a man have have the love of an old dog.”

Imacyn, I know the pain you’re feeling now. Wuzone is right— when you are ready, consider adopting a shelter dog. You will help each other through the loneliness.

Imacyn, we’ve lost so many dogs and cats—mostly from age, but there is never a replacement. That being said, if you have the strength to go to the pound, I’ll bet you’ll find someone who wants to love you as much as you want to love it. Not a replacement—something new. Take a chance, please!
