Square dancing in my school, started with the units in elementary school, and culminated with the High School Sadie Hawkins dance. The 2 weeks prior to the dance was (yes) the Square Dance unit, and for the duration, the entire 3-basketball-court gym was CRAMMED with students and teachers, dancing. Some even cut other classes to go there, unlike other times when kids regularly cut Gym class.
