Argh. When kids do things like this it’s annoying as heck and we all want them to stop. But if a kid DOESN’T do things like this, it probably means they’re being abused and they’re scared that garnering any kind of attention will cause them to get hurt more. (NOT definitely. There are kids with various mental illnesses that don’t want or care for attention, as well as the extremely-rare “well-behaved” kid.)
