Love the effort Calvin puts into everything. He gives his all. Hobbes seems to be doing well enough—but it just doesn’t look like it’s as hard for him.And rock bases and such! Love it!
This is Watterson at his finest. Very little dialogue and each panel is so full of action and expression that your brain actually thinks you are watching them play ball (my brain adds the sound effects too). Beautiful. Then a funny and thought provoking punchline. Masterful. Then you read the comments and are reminded that the double play was performed single-handed (and the “at bat” as well). Brilliant.
