Really, many prominent historians? Must have been those “historians” who were frantically trying to modify Wikipedia’s Paul Revere article page to coincide with her ignorance.

Alas, it is good to see a more correct telling of Paul Revere, his 2 friends and their ride of 18 April.

Palin bashers are WRONG….6/6/11 Bostonherald.com “Experts back Sarah Palin’s historical account…You betcha she was right!” and quoted “local (Boston) historians are backing her up”…."Revere’s own account of the ride in a 1798 letter seems to back up Palin’s claim. Revere describes how after his capture by British officers, he warned them “there would be 500 Americans there in a short time for I had alarmed the Country all the way up.”

Boston University history professor Brendan McConville…Patrick Leehey of the Paul Revere House….and Cornell law professor William Jacobson (“Palin’s critics are the ones in need of a history lesson”) are quoted.

NPR.org has an article 6/6/11 quoting Suffolk University chair of the history department, professor Robert Allison, also backing up Palin’s understanding of factual history!

my 1964 encyclopedia Revere entry says Paul was employed by the Boston patriots as a special messenger…and gives the same account as Sarah said about his warning the British after they captured him after the famous ride to alert Americans and the leaders of the Minutemen.

Bias and Hate trip up the Palin bashers who after rudiculing Sarah are exposed as the real IGNORANT ONES!

Baslim, thanks for pointing out Dawes did the same, then joined by Prescott. “Historians” “correcting” the record are like the same “experts” hired to deny climate change— Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam.
