Toxic Flood On Oct. 4, 2010, a 6-foot-high wave of toxic mud swept through Kolontar, Hungary, when a reservoir burst at a nearby aluminum processing plant! The spiny-shelled species of a deep-sea snail- alviniconcha hessleri, lives near geothermal vents, and gets its food from bacteria that live within its own gills! While only the Unites States has sent a man to the moon... the European space agency, Japan, India and China have all sent missions there as well!
