FYI, the word “ennui” is not pronounced In-you-eye, it’s French, so you say it like On-wee, with the stress on the 2nd syllable.

I get into arguments with my French friend whenever I pronounce “Genre” with 2 syllables, as he insists that it is just one kinda wavery syllable. I defend my pronunciation as “the English version” of the word. :)
