Mr. and Mrs. Hillman, Irving, Cathy, Dad and Mom: The kabocha squash soup with creme fraiche was excellent! I loved the rosemary-pancetta smashed potatoes! The pine nuts were a perfect touch on the braised beans! The pomegranate-pistachio poached pear salad was amazing! Mom: So many "foodies", so few "cleanie-uppies."

If you don’t clean at my house, you have to entertain Aunt Lilly. Somehow the men think dishtowels are more interesting than the game.

Aunt Lilly must be as bad as Cathy’s mother in law. She won’t even help Cathy’s mom in the kitchen. All she and hubby do is mooch and won’t help out.

I actually can enjoy cooking…it is the cleaning up that I hate.
