Pluggers wear their stuff until it almost falls apart, getting their money’s worth!

I don’t see anything tacky about that shirt. I have some just like it.

I remember doing this in high school. :)

hawaiian shirts are only tacky with a large camera and khaki shorts, maybe suitcase or fishing hat for the tourist look.
