The contest between Dallas Covenant and Dallas Academy actually happened back in January. Dallas Academy specializes in “learning disabled” students and the women’s team has not won a basketball game in the last four seasons. Dallas Covenant maintained that they started holding back three minutes into the 1st quarter, when the score reached 25-0, although the Dallas Academy officials disputes this. The Dallas Covenant coach was subsequently dismissed from his coaching position when he publicly disagreed with the apology issued by Dallas Covenant for the lopsided score.
