love the artist, can’t respect the point of view. Does anyone not remember that we can reduce both these countries to raidioactive glass parking lots if they launch even one football?

Brainjerky, we “can” doesn’t mean “the President will”.

    That’s the point.

So EVERYTHING in the Pentagon budget is worth it? There are no planes that are just some boondoggle pork? No-bid contracts to politically connected companies? There’s absolutely no fat to be trimmed?

Your statement sounds like an assumption that he wants to get rid of almost everything.

The only time we WERE attacked on our continental soil, it WAS Bush. We have enough nukes to destroy all cellular life on the land surface of the planet, with radiation killing most of the aquatic, and avian that flee. Proportion would dictate our “sand castle” going several miles above the ‘toon frame. More stupid stupid stupid xenophobia.

Everytime a US president has reduced the military capabilities, our enemies have attacked us. In the 1930’s the military was reduced so that our army was the 14th largest in the world so both Japan and Germany thought that the US would not be a threat to their world ambitions. Only our people’s work ethic and powerful economy pulled us through that time and we saved the world. Since then we have lost our work ethic and our economy is in the dumps. Who is going to save us?

How the hell does anyone who is literate and has a brain get the idea that we are reducing our military in any way? We are not. We are in fact GROWING our military and therefore the budget. However, the current administration, with full-support of the armed services, the pentagon, and our national security people are choosing to grow our personnel and ground forces and not our air support which is already significant and quite significantly not used in modern wars. Go read the actual budget if you aren’t one of the lobbyists whose main goals are to keep the MONEY for an overinflated bunch of high tech airplanes…we dont need. We need more and better PEOPLE. Not more and less useful machines.

Ok everyone let’s be honest and see the irony here. I’m not saying that I think it’s ok that other countries are developing ways to develop nuclear weapons, but does anyone else think it’s ironic that we have a whole arsenal of nuclear weapons and we are telling other countries “No you’re not allowed” No, I’m not a socialist but I’m a realist and I live in a little world called reality. It’s like smoking marijuana in front of your kids and telling them not to. Do you get my point on this? I always thought it was lead by example and not do as I say not as I do.
