    What’s the point of this cartoon? Obama is trying to reach out to Cuba.

    He had success with Fidel’s brother, whom is in charge. Maybe they think he is more reluctant at seeing or knowing Fidel’s reaction to the talks.

    Yeah, I don’t get it. He’s done more reaching out to Cuba than anyone else. I suppose Anderson could be saying he needs to do more. Probably would except it would freak out too many.

    Obama/US is willing to negotiate unconditionally with far more dangerous Iran and Syria, but is afraid to fully embrace negotiations with -old harmless–Castro.

    Of course this is the cartoonist’s opinion, and certainly not taking into account reports that Castro once advocated for a preempted nuclear missile attack against the US.

    Keep your friend’s close but your enemy’s closer.But note a enemy never get’s close enought to harm to you it’s your friends that can screw you.

    Machado: So, you’d rather have no negotiations whatsoever with our enemies?

    Boy, I’m glad you’re not in charge of foreign policy. You’d probably try to nuke Cuba during the missile crisis.
