Now, Charlie Brown, HOW can you enjoy yourself making a snowman, when you KNOW you are already DOOMED, BIG TIME, with this IMPORTANT book report?

Linus might have well also said,“Plus it’s New Year’s Eve, so enjoy yourself and engage in recreation, while you can, Charlie Brown!” and in which case, he would have done the same-taken his friend’s advice, to do the WRONG thing, at the moment.

We all can relate to Charlie Brown here. I, however, once did the right thing, when in his shoes-denied myself some pleasure, when I had FINAL EXAMS to study. And this cartoon, plus the similar Sunday strip from this same period(where he went to the movies, in spite of having LOADS of homework)was what was on my mind, at that very moment; the point: I had LEARNED the moral, to BOTH Peanuts strips: first comes what really is important, THEN, recreation.

I too, have done it. Writing reports early in the morning typing it. And this was in high school. Learned my lesson and started my homework either at school, work or at home.
