Why does Schroeder need CB to read to him? There the same age I think.

Actually, in the beginning, Charlie Brown was something like three or four years older than Schroeder. Schulz aged Schroeder to be about the same age as Lucy, which is a year or two younger than CB. Schroeder probably doesn’t need to be read to, but possibly they’re just enjoying a book together. No audio books in the 50s, after all.
