He explains, "We're playing 'H-Bomb' test.."<br> <br> She covers her ears as he pushes down the plunger and the rope starts to quiver. <br> <br> The rope keeps quivering, on the grass pass the house. <br> <br> It quivers into Lucy's hand; she then yells out, "BWHAM!" <br> <br>

Footage of the Ivy Mike hydrogen bomb test conducted in 1952 was first released to the public in 1954, and I suppose Schulz must have seen it when he made this.
