Back in Nam I was told when you ate field rations the cans had funny sayings on them . Like mashed turkey butt or fillet of horse poop . I was also told i tasted just like it read.
When I was in Nam (66-67) we Marines got C-Rats and they did not have anything funny written on them. That’s probably because they were packaged in 1944, during WWII. Humor had to be a bit short back then!
