Apparently, Garfield only explored indoors.

Reminds me of hunters who stay within ten feet of the road.
He’s explored the Cul De Sac … He’s explored New York and Paris … he just hasn’t gone out to Odie’s turf…

Garfield just checked to see what it would be like outside but he decided not to go out and explore anyway. I think he rather explore indoors. He looks for more mischievious!
