Heck, Arizona (where I live) has ‘chilly’, ‘hot’ and ‘rainy’ (monsoons)

So does South Florida. I decided I’d rather mow my grass every other week than shovel the snow even once.

Louisiana’s 100 degree days right now are still better than shoveling snow, freezing rain, scraping windshields, shivering while walking the dog, and generally staying indoors for 7 months a year I experienced for 15 years up north. It had it’s good sides and I’m glad I was their but all and all it’s just more comfortable being in a warmer climate.

Amen Elly; btw, there are parts of Canada where you can sometimes experience two of them (really cold and cozy-warm) in the same day–no rain though since föhns (aka chinooks) are always dry-as-bones.

BTW Lewreader, that (waiting for föhn) is known as the lazy-option for snow removal in Calgary.

It’s a very good thing we do not all like the same weather, food, colors …

Tulsa was perfect - 4 seasons that were not extreme but just right…was wonderful.

I don’t mind winter at all. It’s the hot humidity I can’t stand.

The only weather we don’t get in Central Fl is snow, most of the time. I spent the first 30 yrs of my life in Michigan. and the las 30 in Fl. I love Mi in the summer, you should visit, beautiful country. If you love winter sports, MI has it all. I have the best of both.

Funny, given the weather the last couple of days I was just thinking I can’t wait for fall again…

Jaybird, as an ex-Floridian from the grapefruit region, I’m not sure the 4 days a year we had of mild weather on either side of 8 months of 90 degrees count as spring or fall, not really ;)

Lived in both and where I am now (Vegas) it snows once in a while. We say what God gives us He can take away. Love not freezing and walking on ice and snow.

The only snow that I like is the kind that’s put into a cone and has flavored syrup poured on top.

OK, Tulsa in the 40’s/50’s was wonderful. Needless to say, I was a kid. - maybe that why it was so great. But, the 4 seasons were real….the wild weather seem to be a 90’s creation.

in ontario the four seasons are almost winter, winter, still winter, and road construction. not really, but it seems that way sometimes.

i’ve never lived anywhere but ontario, but i like the changing seasons and the beauty they bring. i love winter the most, but then i’m part polar bear.

In Kansas, where I didn’t grow up, it’s too icy, too humid, too hot, too rainy, too violent, too unstable, too unpredictable, and the weeds are enormous. Other than that, it’s boring, too. I want to go home–west of the Roc kies.

Yesterday was the first time it rained this month! Normally June is a very wet month.

@yyyguy: I think that’s the Canadian seasons to a T, except that here on the left coast road construction season is now nearly 6 months long!

For the most part Michigan has 4 seasons, but there actual start/end time varies from year to year. The weather of the season varies from day to day. Those Great Lakes make everything change, quickly.

I live in MO, which is the postal code for Misery. Cold, icy winters, hot muggy summers, with wet fall and spring in between. I grew up in Southern AZ and loved it!

Hey NannyQuacker I’m down here in Lake Charles and we actually got maybe 10 minutes of rain yesterday. Some spots got a little more but it sure went away fast.

funnyhunny, i believe you. all the building being done for the olympics can’t be fun for the locals. last fall i drove down the sea to sky highway from Lillooet and it was nothing but construction signs from before Whistler all the way past Squamish. Capilano Narrows was incredible, even though it rained.

Melbourne, Australia you can get all 4 seasons in a day because you can get scorching desert winds coming in from the outback, freezing winds coming up from Antarctica and storms coming in off the Pacific…

But in the tropics we do have seasons. Three of them. Wet, Dry and Silly. The silly season is when the air is incredibly humid and drives everyone crazy (the crime rate rises noticeable) but there aren’t any afternoon storms yet to bring relief
