It’s when the two parties “get along” that Repubs become indistinguishable from Dems. That’s how you get a Repub administration that doubled the federal deficit and gave the following Dem administration justification for doubling it again. “Hey, they did it too!”

As for this knee-jerk rejection of ideology, that implies there was no ideological difference between the US and the Nazis or the Soviets. As for “common sense”, that’s what tells us the earth is flat and is the center of the universe.

Ideology means a system of political principles. For America that used to mean liberty, individual rights, and limited government. If you reject ideology for being ideological, consider just what it is you are rejecting.

So true. And how is this beneficial for this country?

    Excellent toon, Scott.

When the two largest reservoirs of political power are “getting along,” for the average Joe it’s like being a priarie dog when the buffalo choose your neighborhood for their annual rut.

From down here, fighting and making love look very much the same.

I eagerly anticipate the time when the Slacker generation takes over Congress.

Just think. Congress just sits around and draws their pay while doing nothing to trouble the rest of us.
