A fitting illustration of how government with two parties works (or doesn’t work).

I call bullbleeep. If the politicians really were wasting their energy playing the blame game, they’d be too busy to cause any damage and we wouldn’t even be in this mess in the first place.

In this one party government (Demopublican or Republocrat depending of your point of view) the focous is getting re-elected. If doing “the right thing” means not getting re-elected, then of course, then the politician will follow the herd and point fngers when things go wrong. Sadly, (I’m guilty on this at times) people hate congress, but love their congressman.

“I believe it is an established maxim in morals that he who makes an assertion without knowing whether it is true or false, is guilty of falsehood; and the accidental truth of the assertion, does not justify or excuse him.” – A. Lincoln, August 11, 1846
