The United States is reduced to being a beggar, a second world nation populated by a whole bunch of scared, angry but feckless cattle. The corrupt, bungling US is a laughing stock around the globe…like a great big North Korea…only stupider.

Unfortunately, the process is terminally politicized. I also think there is prejudice against the US for a history of Olympic drug abuse.

    ^^ Michaelwme: A) Noble.

The other bid cities had their heads of state or PM attend. If Obama didn’t attend, I think he would have received more flak because then he could be criticised for not supporting Chicago while King Carlos of Spain did for Madrid, President Lula of Brazil did for Rio de Janeiro and PM Hatoyama of Japan did for Tokyo.

ok, how’s this for preposterously confusing and misstating an issue

“Obama’s effort, using the prestige of his office, was obviously futile. So, was the effort: A: noble. B: stupid. C. inappropriate D. All of the above E. None of the above?”

-nothing was futile -nothing was stupid -nothing was inappropriate -nothing was even noble

Obama did what presidents and kings do

at the very least he demonstrated his affection for his country and hometown

    do you?
