Reasons, you missed alot. Israel has nuks since 1969 helped by the Frensh.. You can ask Shemon Berez (The father of the Israeli bomb)..besides, Israel didn’t sign the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.

It is obvious that it’s for Israel’s benefit to prove that it doesn’t have weapons of mass destruction and not the opposite..

The South African nuclear weapons development was done with Israeli collaboration. The infamous Vela incident in 1979 is known to have been a joint Israeli-South African test. I imagine there was more tit-for-tat collaboration between the two countries bearing in mind South Africa had the raw materials. So much for sanctions & UN resolutions. ;-)

Interestingly, on the subject of sanctions busting, when I returned to SA for 4 years in 1995, I found SA had had great difficulty in obtaining high-tech stuff because of sanctions especially some types of computer equipment. This did lead to some home-grown high-tech but I also met a few Israelis who had helped South Africans develop a network router card to be inserted within a PC. As sanctions were lifted just after Mandela’s release in ‘92 and the first free elections in ‘94, SA once more could purchase top-notch networking equipment and I was involved in replacing some of the SA kit with Ciscos, Xyplexes & Bay kit .

Israel also collaborated with South Africa in missile technology and it is rumoured that its biological & chemical weapons development also had Israeli co-op (but I don’t think this has been verified conclusively?)

Both SA & Israel had similar tales of woe: Both said they faced annihilation from external foes.South Africa claimed it faced annihilation by black African governments and communism (aka the “Soviet onslaught”, the red/black danger ”rooi-swart gevaar”). Israel claimed it faced annihilation by Arab states and Islam.

Rank of atomic powers; USA is first…okay. Russia must be third…or China. For sure, Israel is sandwiched between those two. In what order? I’m not sure.

(sarcasm on) But…but…the Grand Finale is supposed to happen in Israel, they need weapons (and they must be nuclear because it’s more cool.)

Even if Iran someday gets the bomb,it’s impossible for it to use it against Israel because they can’t harm the holy places of Islam in Jerusalem (which is against the principals of the Islamic Republic ) and they also wouldn’t kill the millions of the Palestinian people there (which is consisted of muslims and christians). Israel can prove that it doesn’t have nuclear bombs by opening its nuclear facilities to international inspectors.

^ And they could start with the IAEA inspectors visiting the Negev Nuclear Research Center in Dimona.

^ Watches too much daytime TV, oooo, the melodrama…

they’re sane people at heart Which translates as “They act frigging looney but they’re really nice people when you get to know them over a cuppa tea.

no Arab enemies they could hit whom are far enough away to prevent the fallout from infecting their own country Yet sensible too…

they’d probably launch a retaliatory strike as a dying gesture. Ah, vengence is still sweet…

Dude, don’t talk for the Israelis, I sincerely doubt they would like you talking for them.

^ Correct, people will believe what they want to believe. If Iran believes Israel has a nuclear weapons capability - because that is what Israel has perhaps wanted people to believe through obfuscation and ambiguity - and feels threatened then it is entitled to arm itself, too. shrug

The people of Israel deserves to have nuclear bombs and to use them ,because we are the CHOSEN people, while other nations don’t deserve to live because they’re lower humans according to God.

RV said: Palestino and you said that they could prove it by letting in inspectors.

I asserted nothing of Israel’s arsenal. I, however, provided a link to the FAS’s website who are, and I quote: ”Federation of American Scientists (FAS) was founded in 1945 by scientists who had worked on the Manhattan Project to develop the first atomic bombs” They seem like a bunch of esteemed folks. Here’s their section on Israel, I’m sure you can read through to see whether they have any disclaimers.

I supported Palestino’s suggestion with my suggestion: And they could start with the IAEA inspectors visiting the Negev Nuclear Research Center in Dimona.

Visiting & inspecting nuclear research sites in Israel can help dispel the notion that it has or doesn’t have nuclear weapons. The same logic applies to the same inspections carried out by IAEA to Iran and/or other countries. Else, why bother if we’re trying to prove the impossibility of negatives? It is clear Israel does not wish to dispel the idea and uses it to its advantage. Or disadvantage?

I shrugged that if Israel wishes to continue the ambiguity of whether they have it or not, bearing in mind its previous cooperation with South Africa as discovered by its involvement in the Vela incident and the whistle blowing by Mordechai Vanunu leading credence to such a notion, and at the same time denying having such weapons, then Iran should be entitled to address that perceived threat as its sovereign right.

Bringing up Bush in an argument should have a new law applied to it, similar to Godwin’s law. Can it be considered an ad hominem attack? Hmmm…

RV finally baits with a Hope you enjoy being in such company.

    Lol, cute! ;-)

I’d hate for this to make us mortal enemies. Agreed. I’ve already upset another poster I like and I don’t wish to have more animosity against me here. Unless you’ were like Anandy, Scottfreitas, Pup or their ilk, in which case I wouldn’t care a rat’s arse. Since you are most certainly not! and I’ve found by reading your posts we agree on most subjects, it would be silly of me to take umbrage. I rather hope I can reverse things with the other poster but sometimes pride makes me act stupid. ;-)

I agree with your statement that Iran’s actions have the US more in mind. Of course it has observed North Korea-US/EU/Russia negotiations and I’m sure it wants to be in a similar position of “strength” as N Korea finds itself.

Unfortunately, I’m about to head out and cannot continue with regards the remainder of your points, perhaps later… Cheers!

God said that the land will prosper where the people fear God.

Look at the Middle East, sand desolate. Israel stoomped by the heathans(reprobates, arrogant, destructive). Lands will prosper without the Godless Islamists.

Every president since Harry S. Truman has utilized a National Day of Prayer, until Barack Obama, who opted out. He did manage to celebrate Ramadan and bow to mecca in the white house. There is no doubt, that Barack Obama is a muslim worshipper.

If you truely want to understand how come the USA is in a depressed mood throughout america, a vexed people with many problems that arent getting solved, and wont until a God fearing President is elected, you now understand that it is because of that, Barack Obama worships mohammed, a murderer, liar, thief, that only intends to kill steal and destroy as practiced in their ungodly book called the koran.

Egypt was once a Christian country. It only took 4000 muslims to convert new Egyptians and become the promonent religion in Egypt. Protestant and Catholic, and Baptist are all considered one religion, Christianity, followers of Christ. There is no need for divisions among Christians. Traditions are the only thing that sets these titles apart. Muslims have announced jihad against America. Jihad is a spiritual warfare used by islamists to try and take over nations and subject nations to submit to islamic ways. Words, little attention getters here and there with bombings, killings, ways to get peoples attention, to cause people to fear. Mohammad taught his followers to harm others, to lie, to enforce his ways upon people that dont agree with him in order to take over power of them. It is an anti peace, anti love, anti American, anti Christ way of thinking, the koran.

Here is a site from a believer in God that is very interesting. http://www.americanminute.com/ If you go through the subjects on the right column of this site you will notice the topics that are discussed, and hopefully, as I have, enjoy his enthusiasm and conviction. May God bless.
