Always 2 weeks behind the actual news :p

Yeah sanctions against “Bob” and his lackeys has been like beating the dying horse while “Bob” remains healthy, getting his medical treatment from Dubai despite personal sanctions against him (including a travel ban), as his countrymen starve and die.

The SADC are not much better. The DRC replaced SA as its chair. While campagning for the South African presidency, Zuma criticised Mbeki for not holding Mugabe to account. So, what changed, Mr Zuma? Rupiah Banda is, unfortunately, no Mwanawasa. Just Khama from Botswana telling “Bob” how it is.

Kgalema Motlanthe, South Africa’s deputy president, defended the appeal: ”This call for the lifting of sanctions is not aimed at protecting and defending President Robert Mugabe as an individual. It is meant to attract necessary investments into Zimbabwe so that their economic recovery plan can take effect

I don’t understand how clearing personal sanctions against Mugabe & his cronies helps their countrymen. Mugabe continues with his policies making the new unity government with Tsvangirai impossible.
