Bob Gorrell shows that he is totally ignorant about an organization which McCain refers to as “what is special about America,” when he was keynote speaker at their annual meeting two years ago. Acorn is required by law to turn in EVERY registration. They separate out the ones they have verified from the ones they can’t. They flag every registration they found to be fraudulent. Why not ask David Iglesias about ACORN. Because he found no reason to “persecute” Acorn, Rove had him fired. Does Bob Gorrell want to lose his job because he is showing his ignorance of the truth about ACORN??? Maybe he should!!!!! Rev. Dr. Robert G. Hasty, Minister

What did ACORN do anyways? Up here yesterday(Yeah, yeah, Canada is not the us) parties called us personally (twice) to remind us to get to the polls and even offered us a lift to get there regardless of who we voted for. (Although showing some interest does influence people in your favor). Note that it was registered parties who did that and not an obscure organisation. I think nothing was wrong with that. We need something to boost the voting rate (something like 54%). Some people are taking the right to vote for granted.

What’s wrong is registering false names and threatening people into voting in a certain way.

    What exactly did acorn do?

In anyway, they are not part of the democratic party.

ACORN did nothing wrong. They were required to submit all the voter registrations they gathered even the ones they knew were bad. Those were in seperate boxes and therefore easy for certain people to claim they were being given all bad ones. I submit that those had labels on them at one point but that they were conveniently overlooked. Is total crap.

Paul clearly doesn’t read the comments, or care for the details of a n (admittedly) unseemly situation. But nuance is not for the right-wing.

    Paul,

Exactly WHAT law did Acorn break? You do know that McCain was in favor of their work until about 10 minutes ago, right? Please, help us understand how a brain works that has been fed exclusively on Faux News. I am curious.
