I’m not sure but I think medical science still hasn’t gotten there yet.

Some years after I’d gotten married I put on a fair bit of weight, and it wound up getting around my body enough that even my hands got bigger, enough that my wedding ring no longer fit. I’ve lost some of that weight since but my wedding ring is still a tight fit. sigh
