Awww, Oliver, you’re so sweet!

I got my rental car yesterday – a 2024 Toyota Corolla with less than 10,000 miles on it. I’ve never driven such a new car before. It’s a very nice car, but I will feel so much more comfortable driving my old rust bucket 2009 Malibu again. After I picked up my car from Enterprise, I drove to my mechanic to get the cat food out of the trunk of my car, but my car wasn’t outside. It must be inside the garage. At least, it better be! I trust BJ completely not to steal the cat food from the trunk, but since I was not able to retrieve it yesterday and it’s the weekend now, I won’t be able to get there until Monday. And I’m down to the last crumbs of dry cat food in the house. So I’ll have to buy another bag today. The woman from the insurance company is going to look at my car on Monday. Then I will know how she wants to proceed as to repairs. I’m keeping my fingers crossed (I really do cross my fingers for luck sometimes!) that they will agree to fix it and that in a week or so I’ll have my car back.

IMHO, Mother’s day is for every Mom, no matter the species (and the interspecies), so Mother’s Day, for me, is also for pets that have given birth or have adopted other pets, and for ladies that have adopted pets as family members. Same for Dads, of course. ☺♥

Awwwww….only our sweet little Oliver. WHY was I too tired to look at the sky last night??? I’m seeing gorgeous photos of purple lights north and south of me beginning as early as 9 pm. There is still hope for tonight, the solar flares peak today. A long nap is in order so I can stay up past 8.

Oliver is so sweet. I’m sure Annie will appreciate his present to her. What a nice gift for Mother’s Day. On another note, saw a chickadee, two dragonflies, a squirrel, a wren, a spotted towhee, a sparrow, and a rabbit while out walking today.
