Just 30 years ago a person had to pay for every phone call made and any texts over the minimum limit. If they did that today instead of a monthly fee, kids would have thousands of dollars to pay a month. Phones would be discarded and letter writing would begin again. Lest we forget about all the gigs used in tweeting, instantgramming, watching movies using waze and ordering everything under the sun without going out. Then again Water was always free and birth control you had to pay for. Today that has switched.

While I was stationed on ships in the Navy, when we were at sea, I would write to my wife and kids. That’s the only time I wrote letters, in cursive, of course.

I wonder what percentage if any of the newer generations can read cursive?

I wonder how many of the younger generation know how to write a letter
